When to use it

  • A handful of PHP pages or a small API, served without Apache, nginx or an image to build.

Tips

  • Code in a repo: pass repo: { url: "github.com/owner/app" } instead of files. See Run a GitHub repo.
  • Pass the code as files: { "index.php": "…" }. Relative paths go under /app, the document root, written before the server starts and again whenever it starts over.
  • Served by PHP's built-in server on $PORT (8080 by default), IPv6 and IPv4.
  • No Composer in the image: include vendor/ in files, or install Composer with install.
  • Publish it as you run it with expose: "private" (or "public" for anyone): it returns URL.
  • Step by step: Run your own app, with a database and a URL.
