# Clients

URL: https://briq.cloud/docs/setup/clients

> Add briq to your MCP client and sign in.

Add briq to your client by hand. Your agent can also do it for you: see the
[Quickstart](https://briq.cloud/docs/getting-started). Building your own agent? See [Frameworks](https://briq.cloud/docs/setup/frameworks).

Agent on a server or in a chat app? It signs in with a device code: see
[For agents](https://briq.cloud/docs/setup/agents#sign-your-person-in).

## Claude Code

1. Add briq:

```bash
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http briq https://api.briq.cloud/mcp
```

2. Sign in:

```bash
claude mcp login briq
```

Your browser opens to sign in.

Or run /mcp inside Claude Code and pick briq.

## Cursor

[Add to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=briq&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwaS5icmlxLmNsb3VkL21jcCJ9)

Or add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "briq": {
      "url": "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

On first use, your browser opens to sign in.

## VS Code

[Install in VS Code](https://vscode.dev/redirect/mcp/install?name=briq&config=%7B%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapi.briq.cloud%2Fmcp%22%7D)

Or add it for your user:

```bash
code --add-mcp '{"name":"briq","type":"http","url":"https://api.briq.cloud/mcp"}'
```

On first use, your browser opens to sign in.

## Codex

1. Add briq:

```bash
codex mcp add briq --url https://api.briq.cloud/mcp
```

2. Sign in:

```bash
codex mcp login briq
```

Your browser opens to sign in.

## Claude

In Claude (web or desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

Name it briq and paste this URL, then click Connect.

Remote MCP server URL:

```text
https://api.briq.cloud/mcp
```

Your browser opens to sign in.

## Gemini CLI

1. Add briq:

```bash
gemini mcp add --scope user --transport http briq https://api.briq.cloud/mcp
```

2. Sign in, inside Gemini CLI:

```bash
/mcp auth briq
```

Your browser opens to sign in.

## Antigravity

1. Add briq to ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "briq": {
      "serverUrl": "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Then in Agent Settings → Customizations, click Authenticate next to briq.

Sign in, then paste the code back into Antigravity.

## OpenCode

1. Add briq to ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json:

```json
{
  "$schema": "https://opencode.ai/config.json",
  "mcp": {
    "briq": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp",
      "enabled": true
    }
  }
}
```

2. Sign in:

```bash
opencode mcp auth briq
```

Your browser opens to sign in.

## Hermes

1. Add briq to ~/.hermes/config.yaml:

  briq:
    url: "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp"
    auth: oauth
```
2. Sign in:
```bash
hermes mcp login briq
```
Or sign in on a server, or behind a chat app:
```bash
hermes mcp login briq --flow device
```
Your browser opens to sign in.
With --flow device, it prints a link and a code instead: open the link on any device, check the code and approve.
## OpenClaw
1. Add briq:
```bash
openclaw mcp set briq '{"url":"https://api.briq.cloud/mcp","transport":"streamable-http","auth":"oauth"}'
```
2. Sign in:
```bash
openclaw mcp login briq
```
Your browser opens to sign in.
On a server, sign in from the link it prints, then finish with the --code command it gives.
## Pi
Pi reaches MCP servers through the pi-mcp-adapter extension.
1. Install the MCP adapter:
```bash
pi install npm:pi-mcp-adapter
```
2. Add briq to ~/.config/mcp/mcp.json:
```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "briq": {
      "url": "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```
3. Sign in, inside Pi:
```bash
/mcp-auth briq
```
Your browser opens to sign in.
## Any MCP client
Any client that supports remote MCP servers (Streamable HTTP): add this URL.
MCP server URL:
```text
https://api.briq.cloud/mcp
```
Clients with MCP sign-in (OAuth) open your browser on first use.
Others can send an API key: see API key, below.
## API key
For CI, containers and scripts, where no browser can sign in.
Create a key on the Agents page, then send it as a Bearer token.
MCP: the URL, with the key in a header:
```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "briq": {
      "url": "https://api.briq.cloud/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ${BRIQ_API_KEY}"
      }
    }
  }
}
```
Or call the REST API:
```bash
curl https://api.briq.cloud/v1/briqs \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $BRIQ_API_KEY"
```
How a client reads the key from the environment varies: see its docs.
